The New Vend Park: Simpler for Parkers, Tenants, and the Teams Who Run the Garage

A clearer experience for everyone who parks at your property, and a clearer view of how parking performs for the people who own it.

Parking is the first and last thing people experience at your property. It should be simple for everyone involved. Too often it isn't: drivers aren't sure how they're paying, tenants are still handing out paper validations, and property teams manage each site one at a time.

Today, the next-generation Vend Park platform goes live at every Vend Park garage. Over the last three months, we rebuilt the tools parkers, tenants, and property teams use every day, guided by what we've heard from customers in our garages: make paying more obvious, cut steps, and make it easier to manage multiple sites at once.

This post covers what's new. Everything that already works at your garage keeps working, and no actions are needed to get the update.

For parkers: a clear way to park and pay

Most parkers will notice very little. They pull in, the garage recognizes their plate, and returning parkers with a card, pass, or validation on file usually don't need to do anything else.

When a parker does need to act, the redesigned app makes the next step obvious. It opens from a link texted to their phone or a QR code in the garage, and it runs in any phone browser with nothing to download. It starts with one question: how would you like to pay?

  • Pay for my time now
  • Add a card and pay at exit
  • Get a validation
  • Buy a monthly pass

Which options appear depends on each garage's setup. From there, parkers see a running fare, and their active session stays one tap away on every screen. If a validation or pass doesn't cover their stay, the app tells them before they reach the gate, not at the gate.

We also added things parkers have asked for:

  • Pay by bank account as well as by card.
  • Link a SpotHero or ParkWhiz reservation with its code, where available, instead of uploading a screenshot.
  • Flag a wrong plate read from the app, so our team can review it.
  • Get help from a person with a help button on every screen. It reaches our support team by phone, email, or chat.

For tenants: the Validation Station

Validating a guest shouldn't mean a drawer full of paper stickers. The new Validation Station gives tenants two ways to do it:

  • At the front desk: office managers validate guests from an admin view with a full validation history.
  • Self-serve: a tablet in the garage or lobby lets visitors validate themselves.

For parkers, validation is now one clear option in the app. If they choose it, they get a set window to be validated, and the app prompts them before they leave if it hasn't happened.

Pass holders and tenant admins are also warned before a membership ends, so a lapsed pass doesn't turn into a surprise charge at the gate.

For property teams: a rebuilt Command Center

Command Center has a new layout: a sidebar, clear tabs, and details that open next to the list you're working in. Everything you use today is still there. A short "What's new" tour walks you through it the first time you log in, and it works just as well on a phone.

Bringing a new property online is now one guided flow. Import lists from a spreadsheet, invite your team to fill in details together, and keep every document in one place. Once onboarding is approved, the system automatically sets up the property, garages, tenants, and passes.

For owners: portfolio control and reporting

Garages can now be grouped into portfolios. For owners with more than one site, a single pass or validation program can cover one garage or every garage in the portfolio. You set it up once instead of rebuilding it site by site.

New built-in reports show revenue, occupancy, and activity by portfolio, garage, and tenant, so you can see how parking performs without clicking through each garage.

New garage landing pages let drivers find your garage, see its amenities, and estimate their fare. Where you choose to turn them on, reservations let drivers book transient parking or buy a monthly pass on their own. That brings in new demand without extra work from your team.

Faster, more reliable gates

Gates now open faster for plates the garage already knows, because more of the work happens on site instead of waiting on the cloud. A more secure, reliable connection to every garage means our team can see and fix lane issues in real time.

What this means for you

If you're a Vend Park customer, you don't need to do anything. The new platform is live at your garages today, and your passes, validations, and saved payment methods carried over automatically. Still have questions? Use the help button in Command Center, contact your account manager, or reach our support team at 1-888-965-3793 or support@vendpark.io.
